Kite is a conventional winter oilseed rape, British bred by Mike Pickford, an independent plant breeder based in the heart of the Cotswolds. The soil type is a typical Cotswold brash, approximately 900 feet above sea level. This makes it a very ‘testing’ location to really put varieties through their paces. Mike says “if a variety can excel here it should do very well across the UK”.
